Draftsperson/Order Processor

At Gateway, we are committed to beautiful design, and excellent workmanship. Both of these rely on the detailed and meticulous efforts of our talented team of Draftspeople/Order Processors. We are seeking an experienced candidate to join this growing team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this position involves creating custom cabinet manufacturing and installation drawings for renovation projects and new construction. The drawings are combined with written instructions and are assembled into Work Order Documents that are checked for measurement accuracy, conformity to plant construction methods and material compatibility.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Required to work closely with Designers, Production Managers, Suppliers and Installers
  • Willingness to work towards meeting deadlines

Skills & Qualifications

  • Must be proficient with AutoCAD and Office Software
  • Cabinet Vision experience and CNC programming is an asset.
  • Familiarity with cabinet construction methods and floor plans is an asset
  • Must be highly organized with good oral and written communication skills

Shop Worker

Are you a positive, detailed person with an interest in woodworking? We are seeking a full-time candidate for our small, custom millwork shop. We utilize advanced machinery and both powered and manual tools. Some responsibilities include (but are not limited to): manufacturing products; sorting, packaging and transporting of materials and products; sanding and finishing work; assisting the team in operating machinery; and other activities as instructed. A successful candidate would be able to work independently, be willing to adapt, be good at following directions and be able to accurately read and use a tape measure.
